About Charleville Show

Charleville Show was founded in 1979, the driving force behind this venture was the late Canon Donal O'Driscoll. He called a meeting of a small number of interested people together, they met at Cronins Hotel in November 1978. He put forward a number of reasons why Charleville should have its own show. The rest, as they say is history. From it's establishment 1979 and the cost of running the show that year was €22,000 last year the show cost in excess of €250,000 to stage, this is an indication of the huge range of activities that go on at the show which makes it so attractive, it is a real family day out.
